Geethanjali
It is an Indian Malayalam horror movie based on the spin-off of the movie Manichitrathazhu and the remake of the 2007 film named Alone. This film was released on 14 November 2013 with a running time of 150 minutes on screen. It is directed by the well-known director of South, Priyadarshan. Abhilash Nair delivered the writing script for the movie along with the dialogues written by Dennis Joseph. G. P. Vijayakumar produces this film under the name of his production house Seven Arts International. The cast of this movie gave excellent performances with their skills and talents. The movie’s plot is primarily focused on the life of Anjali, who is haunted by the ghost of her deceased sister, Geetha. It is believed that Geetha committed suicide for some unknown reason which will get discovered at the end of the movie. Anjali is engaged to Anoop, who works in Mumbai. Anjali and Anoop had to visit her hometown Kerala where Anjali’s mother fell off the terrace and was bedridden paralysed. This was when Geetha’s spirit started to haunt Anjali. She becomes devastated and scared. Within a week, several terrifying events occurred in the mansion, leaving Anoop with no other choice than to call Nakulan to outreach Dr Sunny Joseph. After getting in touch, Dr Sunny arrives at their villa to treat Anjali and get her out of the situation.
For the superstitious belief of the house being haunted, the family buys a new one. The new owner of that house claimed that he saw Geetha in the car and wrote down the vehicle number. Before he could show that to them, Geetha’s spirit calls him to meet in a church. He got killed before he could seek help from Sunny in the church. Later, Anjali tells Sunny that Geetha committed suicide when she learned about their engagement news. Sunny proceeds to take help from Kadalikkattu, who also thinks Anjali possesses Geetha’s spirit. The story takes an exciting and surprising turn of events from here.
